On June 30, 2025, the eighth meeting of the Project Steering Committee for the UKR IEE Project took place.

The Project Steering Committee expressed its high appreciation of the Project’s progress, highlighting several key achievements, including:

• The successful operation of the Loan Guarantee Fund, established by UNIDO within the framework of the UKR IEE Project in partnership with JSC “UKRGASBANK”  (UGB – Eco Bank).

• The successful launch of the All-Ukrainian Award: Pacesetters for Energy Management, which will continue to be implemented in Ukraine beyond the Project’s duration.

• The effective use of measurement and monitoring equipment for conducting Energy Management System (EnMS) audits, energy consumption system assessments, and energy audits.

The Committee endorsed the development of a Sustainability Strategy for the Loan Guarantee Fund, in line with the priorities of the Project’s national beneficiaries.

The Committee supported the proposal to transfer ownership of the Project’s measurement equipment to the Project recipient – the organisation Cogen-Ukraine – and requested the Project Team and the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine (SAEE) to take the necessary steps.

The Project is planned to run until December 31, 2025. The Final Independent Evaluation of the Project will be conducted in accordance with UNIDO procedures in September-October 2025.
