Modern global approaches to energy efficiency and decarbonization, existing tools for supporting enterprises in Ukraine and planned new mechanisms – all this was discussed by the Head of the State Energy Efficiency Agency Anna Zamazeeva and the representative of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization Serhiy Porovskyy during the meeting.

The Head shared the results of the trip to the USA and participation in the conference on sustainable development – Earthx2023, that became possible thanks to the support of the UNIDO/GEF UKR IEE Project: “Introduction of Energy Management System Standard in Ukrainian Industry”.

The parties discussed the ongoing work of the Loan Guarantee Fund, a financial instrument created by UNIDO, through which enterprises can obtain unsecured loans and additional support for energy efficiency measures and energy management systems.

The participants of the meeting also considered possibilities to expand the partnership, especially taking into account the urgency of the needs of the industrial sector of Ukraine – its effective recovery and decarbonization.

“It is important to introduce new tools and programs so that more enterprises become energy efficient and competitive. This will also contribute to the recovery of the economy in communities and the country”, Anna Zamazeeva is convinced.

The State Energy Efficiency Agency expressed its gratitude to the UNIDO/GEF UKR IEE Project: “Introduction of Energy Management System Standard in Ukrainian Industry” and Serhiy Porovskyy for a reliable partnership and the parties are actively working on its successful continuation.
