The UNIDO/GEF Project “Introduction of Energy Management System Standard in Ukrainian Industry” Steering Committee Meeting was held in Kyiv on May 31, 2018.
The meeting was attended by representatives of UNIDO, the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources of Ukraine (GEF Operational Coordinator), the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and other partner organizations.
During the mentioned event, the following main issues were considered:
- Review and Approval of the members of the Project Steering Committee.
- Presentation of the activities and plans of the Project.
- Presentation of the Financial Mechanism and Roadmap for its launch.
One of the main tasks of the Project for 2018 was defined continuation of the work on the creation of a financial mechanism in form of Revolving Guarantee Fund, designed to promote the introduction of energy management systems and increasing the energy efficiency in the industry.
