The State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine in conjunction with the UNIDO Project “Introduction of Energy Management System Standard in Ukrainian Industry” are developing ways to stimulate the introduction of energy management at industrial enterprises of Ukraine.

During the meeting between the Chairman of the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine Mr. Serhiy Savchuk and the Manager of the UNIDO Project “Introduction of Energy Management System Standard in Ukrainian Industry” Mr. Marco Matteini, that was held on 29 May 2018 it was agreed to increase cooperation in the field of stimulation of the enterprises to energy efficiency.

The priority measure on the way to this goal is introduction of the energy management system in accordance with requirements of the international standard ISO 50001, which was implemented in Ukraine with the participation of the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine and support from the Project side.

Following the results of the meeting, the parties agreed to develop a roadmap for joint actions to implement stimulation and support mechanisms related to the implementation of energy efficiency measures for energy-intensive enterprises.
