On January 20, 2022, the European-Ukrainian Energy Agency with the support of the UNIDO/GEF UKR IEE Project “Introduction of Energy Management System Standard in Ukrainian Industry” held an online webinar “The All-Ukrainian Award: Pacesetters for Energy Management: rules and benefits of participation”

The webinar was attended by representatives of structural units of enterprises responsible for energy efficiency and energy management.

The webinar presented information about the All-Ukrainian Award: Pacesetters for Energy Management and the rules of participation.

The All-Ukrainian Award: Pacesetters for Energy Management is the first of its kind in Ukraine, which recognizes leading organizations for their energy management achievements. The Award is implemented by EUEA with the support of the UNIDO project.

The purpose of this program is to attract the attention of the industrial sector to global energy and climate issues and demonstrate results in improving the energy efficiency of production through the introduction of energy management.

Also, “All-Ukrainian Award: Pacesetters for Energy Management” aims to promote the implementation of energy management systems and increase energy efficiency in industry, which is one of the policy priorities of Ukraine in the field of energy efficiency.

Any organization located in Ukraine in the industrial, commercial, or public sector is eligible to participate. Entries may feature corporate level, multi-site, or single facility entrants.

To participate in the Award Program, enterprises must submit applications that will provide examples of the implementation of energy management. Each application must contain information about the experience of implementation in the enterprise and the benefits received for business from the implementation of the EnMS. Applications will go through a selection process by a jury committee composed of respected experts in energy management systems, in accordance with ISO 50001.

The winners of the competition will be selected according to the results of the evaluation by the jury committee – three large enterprises, as well as two small and medium-sized enterprises. The winners of the competition will receive the prestigious Award of Excellence and Certificates for Energy Efficiency Services ranging from $7,500 to $15,000.

Applications are accepted until March 28, 2022; The winners of the competition will be notified and publicly announced in June 2022 during a gala ceremony.

The next webinar – regarding the rules for filling out the application will be held on February 3, 2022.
