It was a review conference for the Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production Centre –  there were presented achievements, advantages, success and challenges of the UNIDO project “Promoting the Adaptation and Adoption of Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production through the Establishment and Operation of a Cleaner Production Centre in Ukraine” which has been operating in Ukraine for 8 years.

The issues of resource efficiency, circular economy and their role in the formation of environmental and economic policy of the country were also highlighted. 

Serhiy Porovskyy, Energy Efficiency Financing and Policy Expert for the Project, took part as a speaker from the UKR IEE Project in panel discussion # 1 “Resource efficiency – the path to industrial development”.

The conference was organized within the framework of UNIDO Project “Promoting the Adaptation and Adoption of Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production through the Establishment and Operation of a Cleaner Production Centre in Ukraine” with the support of Switzerland and Austria; and EU4Environment Programme funded by the European Union and implemented by a consortium of international partners, including OECD, UNIDO, UN Environment, UNECE and the World Bank.
