On 29 August 2022, the managing companies of “Bilotserkivskyi Cargo Aviation Complex” ME industrial park and “Industrial Park PATRIOT” LLC, as well as their residents participated in a training on Energy Management Systems organized by UNIDO. Six companies participated in the training session which was jointly organized in the framework of the UNIDO “GEIPP-Ukraine” project, funded by SECO, and the “Introduction of Energy Management System Standard in Ukrainian Industry” project, funded by GEF.

The training was aimed at forming teams of experts in companies, who, under the guidance of national and international experts, will work on preparing their own companies to comply with the ISO 50001 standard.

This is more important today than ever since companies are trying to use resources as efficiently as possible, especially energy, in order to reduce their dependency on imported energy sources. Implementing an energy management system, one of the requirements of the eco-industrial park (EIP) concept, will enable companies to increase the level of energy efficiency, thus reducing the cost of manufacturing and developing a more sustainable business environment. Companies that will successfully implement the energy management system will be able to receive financial assistance from a specific Loan Guarantee Fund and other financial instruments.
